How to Daisy Chain Your Generator’s Solar Panels
It’s as Easy as It Looks
Your Patriot Power Generator 1500 is ideal for protecting yourself and your family from the results of power outages. Because it weighs only 38 pounds, it’s small enough to take anywhere and store discreetly. This portable generator operates quietly and produces no emissions.
Another great thing about your Patriot Power Generator 1500 is that you can daisy-chain up to three solar panels for faster charging. In other words, you are hooking them up together to work as a team and give you solar backup.
Here’s how to do this, and it couldn’t be any easier.
When you turn your solar panel around, you’ll see two cords. The longer cord is the output, and the shorter cord is the input.
- For the solar panel closest to the generator, take the long cord and plug it into the back of the generator, or into the extension cord if you are using one.
- Set your second solar panel next to the first one.
- Take the longer cord from the second solar panel and plug it into the shorter cord from the first solar panel.
Now your emergency generator will charge twice as quickly as previously. Add a third solar panel (using the same directions) and you’ll speed up that charging time even more.
That’s all you need to do!

I’d love to get one but it’ll have to wait until I can afford one. Tough since I only have Social Security.
