Patriot Power Generator 1500 Used in Puerto Rico Relief Effort
Recently at 4Patriots, we received a note from a relief worker in Puerto Rico. He is Chris Taylor of Naples, Florida. We were very happy to hear about his efforts, and even more so when we learned he had used one of our products – the Patriot Power Generator 1500 – to provide help to victims of Hurricanes Irma and Maria.
Here’s what Chris told us:
I wanted to let you know how your Patriot Power Generator system performed while being used in the recovery effort in Puerto Rico.
I am an amateur radio operator and I perform volunteer disaster communications. I responded to the disastrous double hurricane strike on Puerto Rico. Along with assorted pieces of radio equipment, I took my Patriot Power Generator system to power the radio and computer.
The system performed superbly. The system was able to run the radio and computer as needed, charge handheld radios and provide light as needed. This allowed the sending of emergency logistic messages, health and welfare messages and emergency hospital communications.
Without the Patriot Power Generator system, I do not know that we would have fared so well. While coming up on the time to return home, we were constantly being asked to please stay and asked if we would leave the system so that it could continue to serve communications and any way else that it was needed.
It was very hard to do, but on the last day I left the Patriot Power Generator system with a local amateur radio operator, who had been assisting us there. Several of the people who had responded left equipment behind with local amateur radio operators who had nothing left so that they could continue to provide services to any and all who needed it.
Thank you for such a wonderful design and product.
Chris Taylor
Wow, I can’t even begin to tell you how much this story warmed our hearts here at 4Patriots.
In response to his volunteer efforts, we sent Chris a Patriot Power Generator 1500 to replace the one he selflessly left behind in Puerto Rico.
The world could use more Chris Taylor’s, that’s for sure.
