The Alexapure Breeze is an air purification system that helps people breathe easier and feel healthier. It removes up to 99.97 percent of dangerous airborne contaminants from homes and offices, including allergens, dander, bacteria, viruses and odors.
The unit is very simple to start up and operate, but let’s take a look at what you should do if this quiet and lightweight (11.5 pounds) device is not operating perfectly.
If for any reason it does not turn on when you push the power button, it’s possible the front panel is not setting properly. Just pop off that panel, make sure the tabs on the pre-filter are not in the way, and then pop the front panel back on. A “dinging” sound will let you know it’s on properly and that the Alexapure Breeze is ready to operate.
Now if you’ve had this device for a while and it doesn’t turn on properly, it’s possible that the filter is dirty and may need to be replaced.
What if your power light is on but none of the other lights are on? In that case, your unit has gone into sleep mode. Just press that mode button on top of the unit, and it should wake up. If it doesn’t, shine a flashlight on the sensor for about three minutes. If it still doesn’t wake up, call customer service at 1-800-304-4202.
What do the lights on the top of the unit mean? There are three wave indicator lights. If one or two are solid blue, the Alexapure Breeze is running correctly. If the lights are blinking, you need to take action.
If light No. 1 is blinking, the pre-filter needs to be cleaned. If light No. 2 is blinking, your filter needs to be replaced very soon. If light No. 3 is blinking, the filter absolutely needs to be replaced quickly or the unit will shut down.
The Alexapure Breeze is very quiet when working properly, even at its highest fan setting. But what if it’s whining or humming? That means something might have broken during shipping, so call customer service.
What if the air quality indicator light on the front of the unit will not go off blue? Blue means clean, purple means somewhat dirty and red means very dirty. Try moving the unit to a place where you know the air quality is not as good to see if the light will change from blue to purple or red. If it still remains at blue, call customer service.
What if the air quality indicator light on the front of the unit will not go off purple or red? That might mean it’s time to clean your air quality sensor on the side of the unit. In fact, you should do that every three months anyway.
How does one clean the air quality sensor? Make sure the unit is in the off position. Take a soft brush (like a toothbrush) to remove any dust from the outside of the vents, then open the small panel located between the vents and use a Q-tip to gently clean out the inside. Then pop the panel back in and power the unit on.
How do you clean the pre-filter? Turn the unit off and pop off the front panel of the unit. The first filter you’ll see is the pre-filter. Gently pull off the pre-filter. Cleaning it is a two-step process. First, use a soft bristle brush to remove any big lint, hair or anything else you can see. Second, wash it with warm, soapy water, using a sponge or a washcloth. Rinse it off well and then make sure it’s dry before you put it back in the unit. It needs to be completely dry before it’s reinstalled.
What if the filter replacement light is still flashing after you’ve replaced your filter? That’s probably OK. It will continue to blink until you reset the counter. That yellow reset button can be found on the side of the unit under the air quality sensor. It’s hiding just behind the lower vents. Use something long and thin such as a flathead screwdriver to push that button in when the power is on.
How do you reset the Alexapure Breeze? This is something you need to do each time you change the carbon and HEPA filters. Make sure the unit is plugged in and powered on. Push that yellow button in. You’ll feel it push in and you’ll hear a ding.
I hope this information – as well as the Alexapure Breeze itself – helps you breathe easier?
Alexapure Breeze Reviews
Here’s what Maryle has to say about the Alexapure Breeze:
“This is the greatest machine for improving breathing at night. Just before we go to sleep, I turn it on to clean the air in the bedroom and I am not clogged up at all.”
And another review from Bessie:
“I purchased two units, one in the bedroom and one for the family room and kitchen. The air seems lighter, easier to breathe. I noticed the one in the family room turn red when I cooked a stir-fry dinner. It cleaned the room from any smell from cooking right away.”
“We have had 2 of these wonderful machines for about three weeks now. Can you see it working? You bet… we spend most of the day and night breathing that great fresh air.”
