How to Make Stew (Food4Patriots)

Everyone uses emergency food differently. Some people store it as soon as they get it. Some people use our delicious survival food for camping because making it is so easy… or they even use Food4Patriots meals as a quick snack or daily meal. But some customers like to taste it right away before deciding how much they want to order.

That’s why I’m going to show you how easy it is to make one of our most popular meals: the Food4Patriots Stew.

Take a look at the video below. Or just keep scrolling if you prefer to read instead of watch.

All you’ll need is one pouch of our Stew, water, pot, and whisk.

Optionally, you can serve this stew inside a scooped-out acorn squash instead of a regular bowl.

If you choose to use an acorn squash: chop off the top, scoop out the insides and rub with oil.

Put on a baking dish and bake in the oven for 45-60 minutes at 375 F. The inside should be soft when you poke it with a fork.

To make the Stew, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.

Next, open the pouch and remove and throw away the oxygen absorber. Whisk in the entire contents of the pouch.

Boil for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Finally, simmer on low  heat for between 12-15 minutes.

When done, you can pour it into your bowl or acorn squash and enjoy.
