Government targets kids for indoctrination.

When I was a kid in school, we were taught about American history. We learned all about the Revolutionary War, the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Constitution and the first 10 Amendments to the Constitution, also known as the Bill of Rights. We took great pride in the sacrifices that the early patriots made to secure their freedom from oppressive English rule, and we understood – even as kids – that our country was something special because of the liberties we enjoyed.

Well, that was then and this is now. We’re all painfully aware that now our government is doing everything it can to erase patriotism from the American landscape and to set itself up as the master of the people, instead of the way our Founding Fathers envisioned it to be. The best way to accomplish this is by indoctrinating our children. That way, by the time they become adults, it won’t bother them that they don’t have any freedoms left.

If you think I’m exaggerating about this situation, I’m not. Kids in an Arkansas school are being taught that the Bill of Rights is “outdated.” They’ve been told that a couple of Amendments need to come out of the Constitution and a couple of others need to be added, thanks to something called Common Core (a U.S. education initiative) and public school curricula.

The idea is to put it into kids’ heads that the Constitution is merely a “suggestion” rather than a crucial document upon which our country was founded. Failing to teach children the importance of our country’s founding principles is bad enough, but when they then try to change history, it gets even worse.

While this strategy should come as no surprise when we have an administration that is bent on destroying everything sacred to the United States, it’s still very disturbing to me. How dare these “progressives” disrespect documents that our Founding Fathers slaved over while establishing the greatest country in the history of the world.

There’s only one way that we’re going to keep our country and everything we believe in from being destroyed and that’s by fighting them every step of the way. Let your public officials know that you don’t want this kind of teaching going on in the schools near where you live.

Is toying with the Constitution and other essential American documents troubling to you? If so, I’d like to hear from you.
