Food4Patriots Frequently Asked Questions
If you’re reading this email or blog post, chances are you have purchased one or more of our Food4Patriots survival food kits.
Food4Patriots has been our best selling product for several years now, which makes sense. Survival food ranks right up there among the top items we all need when a disaster strikes.
But still, folks sometimes have questions about our food. Such as what are the various kit sizes, how long the food is good for, where the best place is to keep it… even whether it’s safe for their pets to eat.
So, I thought we’d take a look at some of the most common questions people have about our food and answer them right here and now. Here we go:
Q: What is 4Patriots Survival Food?
4Patriots Survival Food is pre-packaged, high-quality, dehydrated food rated to last for up to 25 years. Most kits are packed in secure, lightweight, water-resistant storage totes. You can order a variety of kits to meet your needs. We also offer several kit add-ons to boost the nutritional and caloric value of your stockpile.
Q: Where is my food made?
Your food is made in an FDA-approved and inspected facility in the United States. All recipes are prepared (from scratch!) and packaged in Utah, USA. Even your totes are made in America. Our goal is to make you the best food at a fair price… and to get it to you as quickly as possible.
Q: How long will my food last?
Your survival food is designed to last up to 25 years on the shelf. With proper storage, it may be good even longer! You’ll have peace of mind knowing that with proper care… your “backup plan” can be delicious for decades.
The secret is in the packaging: first, your food is preserved using a proprietary “low-heat” dehydration process. Then, it’s carefully packed in Mylar to help protect it from heat, light and moisture.
Storage conditions can impact the shelf life of your food. Your survival food will last longest when in stable, cool temperatures… away from moist air. So for best results, always protect your food from heat, air and moisture. Avoid prolonged exposure to temps above 75 degrees F. And keep your food sealed until you’re ready to eat it. Shelf life will vary based on storage conditions.
Q: How do you get a 25-year shelf life without using chemicals?
Your survival food is made using low-heat dehydration. It takes a bit longer than freeze drying but it really preserves the flavor and nutrition, and is more affordable for you. We don’t use harmful chemicals or “mystery ingredients” to dehydrate your food. Just good ole American science.
Your food is packaged in re-sealable Mylar pouches to help protect against light, oxygen and moisture. This is the same material that NASA uses to make spacesuits. And we pack it all in stackable, water-resistant totes for added protection.
Keep your food in dry, stable temperatures – away from bright light – and you’ll find that it tastes just as great years from now as it does today.
Q: Are there customer reviews?
Yes. To date there are more than 5,300 verified four- and five-star customer reviews for our survival food. Click here to read them. These are not fake or paid reviews. We only ask real, verified 4Patriots customers to review the specific kit they purchased.
We also received hundreds of letters, emails and Facebook comments from our customers. Here’s what customers are saying:
“October 10 we lost everything to Hurricane Michael. With a small camping stove and a little water I was able to make the potato soup. Funny thing was, that cup of hot soup and some crackers made things not seem so bad. We were alive, together and counting our blessings.
I highly recommend 4Patriots and you all have been such as blessing to us! We just can’t thank you enough for sending us Free Food and what that meant to us.” – Kimberly P. Panama City, Florida
“We tried the chicken-flavored rice dish. DELICIOUS, SIMPLE, GENEROUS PORTIONS. Why can’t EVERYTHING “Made in the USA” today be THIS good?” – L.F. Perryman New York
“I am a 60-year-old single veteran and a previous Food Service Specialist in the Military. I feel it is very important that we think about our basic needs, be thankful for what we have, get ready, learn and be prepared.4Patriots Survival Food has really come in handy! It’s so good and has especially come to my rescue during some home emergencies when I couldn’t make it to the grocery store. 4Patriots food has become a blessing. I really like that that your company gives back to our Veterans. Thank you!” –Jane M. Vallejo, Calif. Retired Military Food Specialist
Q: How do I store my survival food?
Your meals come in rugged, plastic totes that are sturdy and stackable. They’re a great solution for long-term storage.
These low-profile totes can be stored covertly in a dry basement, under a bed, or even in a kitchen cabinet. The 3-Month Kit comes in two totes that are each: 25.75″ long x 18.37″ wide x 7.13″ high.
Q: Is it OK to give any Food4Patriots food items to my dog?
Dogs can safely eat our food (except the chocolate pudding). It’s real, nutritious food. But, like all people food, we caution the overfeeding of our food to pets. You need to be very aware of serving sizes, which are measured for adult humans. Also, remember that dogs by their nature have a higher protein need than people, so be careful with your choices. That said, our freeze-dried meats are wonderful choices for every member of your family – including your pets.
Why do some of your videos leave the reader no choice but to either watch the entire video or simply get out of it. In other words, why not a “pause” option. Many times, I am interested in a product, but do not have time to watch a LONG video.
Or an incoming phone call that you need to hear. It forces us to mute the computer speakers and let it continue in silence.
Add pinto beans,MALTO Meal and plain oatmeal to your menu choices!! Not everyone cares for maple flavored cereals and I for one prefer MALTO MEAL over cream o wheat or maple flavored oatmeal!! In my opinion Pinto beans have a better flavor than black beans!!
Is there anyway you can lower the sodium in your food? I have chronic kidney disease and high amounts of sodium are not good. As much as I would like to stock up on food this is not an option for me to stock up on food with high amounts of sodium.
I too like Karen Wheelwright need low sodium meals, so, an option for low salt meals would be greatly appreciated.
Would like to Thank You Frank – on sending we a free pizza- made it the other day — had a nieghabor friend – we both LOVED it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wish your pizza kits were made with Unbleached org.flour. Bleached flour is toxic! Do any of us need that really?
Question: Do you sell or plan to sell Decaf Coffee? I don’t use caffeine due to history of irregular heartbeat, but love coffee in the cooler weather.
I have purchased several of your one year kits to be ready if the SHTF as you call it. I really like President Trump and hope he continues to keep the illegals from coming into our country like ants to a new home where everything we had to work so hard to get is being given to them. Any how, it’d great to have Food4Patriots in stock and thank you guys for all you have done to help us out when the libtards start their stupid causes such as blacklivesmatter. It is insane as all lives matter not just the rich stupid AAs think they should also get everything for nothing.
Calories per serving would seem to be a high value consideration. As I’m sure you are aware, another company makes their sales pitch using this data.
Your thoughts?
I am a big fan of your products and feel comfortable ordering from your website for good quality products. But I cant understand why your recent emails have taken issue with Costco over its one year family pack of four for 6K? Your 90 day supply for one is $400 times 16 is 6.4K!!! Ouch!!! So what is so bad with their price???
How long can I safely store bottle water?
The only comment I have is the serving size, I live by myself and don’t eat large amounts of any food at one setting can your food be reheated?
will you ever offer lower sodium options ?
Sent you a suggestion years ago about changing your storage container from plastic to metal. What happens if you get rats in your house. That food will be gone and you will never know it. Right now just found that rats have eaten almost a 25 lb. bag of dog food that I had stored, yet only had a few dropping to make me start looking for their food source.
I love your website. I bought the Distiller and extra filters. Survival food. Power green. The power greens has helped with the swelling and pain in joints.
Next is the generator.
Thank you
