Do you think it’s possible that we’re starting to make some serious progress in holding the IRS responsible for harassing conservatives? I gotta admit, I never thought this investigation would produce squat. The Obama Administration is very good at throwing roadblocks in front of people trying to get at the truth.
But lately, the Supreme Court has shown the guts to stand up to the president with several controversial decisions. And now, federal judges are asking the IRS the same question that conservatives are asking. Why shouldn’t the IRS be required to allow an outside expert to evaluate whether emails on the computer hard drives of former IRS official Lois Lerner are really lost?
Like all the other scandals that Obama has tried to push under the carpet, there’s much more than meets the eye. But we really have to dig deep for it. The administration and their agencies will lie, cheat and steal to stop the truth from coming out.
Isn’t it incredible that in the greatest country in the history of the world we have to butt heads with our own government in order to learn the truth? We have to deal with one deception after another, one lie after another and one misuse of power after another. But it’s important to do this if we really want to expose the truth.
The IRS recently told Congress that a mysterious crash of their hard drives last year destroyed two years of emails to and from Lerner and others at the agency. They included emails that went to and from other federal agencies like the White House. On July 11, IRS lawyers will have to stand before a federal judge to defend the agency. I have to admit, I’m really looking forward to this.
How far up the chain of command do you think the IRS scandal goes? I’d love to hear from you about it.
